SIGMA ART Theatre Company, founded in 2005, is working at the moment with senior adults, young people and professional artists at the SIGMA ART Studio, Bucharest, Romania; the Company has been performing at least once a week for the last seventeen years in its Theatre Studio, in schools, universities and abroad, with the opportunity of various amateur and professional international festivals.

„LA VOIX HUMAINE“ IS WANTED
Cocteau’s play, La voix humaine, written in 1928, involves a single character „Elle“ in a single room with a telephone. Elle has been abandoned by her lover and reveals that she has attempted to commit suicide.
The play consists of her last conversation with her lover. As a one-act play, the drama lacks the breaks that would traditionally determine its structure. Instead, Cocteau suggests that the actress’s different poses represent different „phases“ of the monologue. The structure of the play is further delineated by the phone cutting off frequently without warning.
The performance contains also short inserts from „I don’t“ by Samuel Beckett, which highlights and emphasizes the absurd character of the play.
