The theater project “À Deriva” consists of a free adaptation from the theatrical text “Em Alto Mar” by Slawomir Mrozek, based on which aims to create its own dramaturgy, a comic and visual language, capable of dialoguing with the deep crisis of values (social and institutional) in which the country, and the world, are immersed. “À Deriva” tells us the story of two men and a woman lost on the high seas, after
what is believed to have been a natural catastrophe. The play’s plot revolves around the way these three castaways, confined to the space of a raft (raft) and at the same time surrounded due to the immensity of the sea, they face the problem of hunger. The three characters main groups, Fat, Médium and Thin, once the supplies have run out, make attempts at electoral campaigns, alliances, political attacks, call to self-
sacrifice, in a series of small and significant events to justify a fundamental choice: who should be eaten for the sake of of survival. A show characterized by nonsense, comedy visual and physical, and by the implicit satire of the social and political system that many Sometimes it turns out to be absurd and deeply unfair.
